Marmoleum is a durable floor covering made from natural raw materials. On this innovative floor, we add residual products from the cocoa industry to increase the durability and make sustainability visible.
The sustainable floor
All Forbo products are characterized by a high level of functionality and durability. Forbo Flooring is committed to environmentally friendly production and comprehensive customer service. Forbo makes marmolum based on natural raw materials such as linseed oil, pine resin, wood flour and lime. As a color pigment we add the cocoa beans shells for the new Marmoleum Cocoa collection that we launched in April 2017.
Good for the climate: circular, local and CO2 neutral
The production of Marmoleum Cocoa is CO2 neutral. In addition, the Marmoleum factory is located in the Zaan region, a region where a lot of cocoa is produced. The hard cocoa beans - the residues released in cocoa production - are collected and crushed by us, after which they are injected into the plain Marmoleum. This not only creates a particular, subtle effect, it is also very durable.
The Marmoleum Cocoa collection is not only very durable and circular, because of the use of the cocoa beans, the collection has a variation of natural tones with a warm appearance. The floors are friendly to humans, environmentally conscious and easy to clean. In addition, the floor is strong and lasts more than 20 years.
With the Cocoa collection, Forbo won the IF Design Award 2017. The Marmoleum Solid collection consists of the color collections Cocoa, Concrete, Walton and Piano, which can be used for any interior design.
